💧 Paani Peelo · a water reminder for Mac & Windows
Amma makes sure you drink water.
Every water app is easy to ignore. Amma isn't. She walks onto your screen with a steel tumbler and waits — smiling, then pleading, then with her hands on her hips — until you drink it.
Free for 5 days, no email, no card. Then one payment, yours for life.
Try “Not now” a few times. In the app they return after your snooze time; here they come right back.
How it works
Set your rhythm
Pick who reminds you, then how often — every 30 minutes, every hour — your active hours and daily goal.
Your reminder walks in
When it’s time, they come in from the right with a glass of water and ask if you’ve had some.
Drink, and make their day
Tap yes and they beam and head off. Tap “not now” and… well, they’ll be back.
The family
Choose who reminds you.
Everyone has one voice they can’t ignore. Pick yours in Settings, and switch whenever you like.
Amma
Warm, persistent, and impossible to argue with.
“Your Amma is here with water. Drink it while it's fresh!”
Appa
Quietly disappointed until you drink it.
“Your Appa is here with water. Drink it while it's fresh!”
Your wife
Looking after you, whether you asked or not.
“Hey you. Water break?”
Your husband
Sweet about it, until the third time.
“Love, you haven't had water in ages. Here.”
Your little boy
Very serious about the rules.
“I brought you water! It was heavy.”
Your little girl
Keeps count of every glass. Out loud.
“You said everyone has to drink water. So drink water!”
Dadi
Walked all this way with her stick. You will drink it.
“My dear, I walked all the way here with this glass. Drink it for your Dadi.”
Gudiya
Too little for words. Not too little to make you drink.
“Wa-wa!”
Make them yours
Change their skin tone, hair, clothes and colours, glasses and extras in Settings. Each one keeps their own look, and every option is included.
Built like family: caring, persistent, impossible to ignore.
Walks right onto your screen
No easy-to-miss toast. Your reminder strolls in from the edge of your screen, glass in hand, right over whatever you’re doing.
Real feelings
Say yes and they beam. Snooze them and they sulk — then come back pleading, then with hands on hips.
Speaks your language
English, हिन्दी, తెలుగు and தமிழ் — in the script or in English letters (Hinglish, Tenglish, Tanglish).
A daily goal worth a dance
Every “yes” is a glass. Hit your goal and they celebrate with a little dance and confetti.
Polite timing
Only in your active hours, never in your quiet times (lunch, a standup, a tea break), and never while you’re away. Before lunch, they bring you a tiffin.
Snooze, pause, or “I just drank”
Choose how long “not now” lasts, pause for a meeting, or log a glass from the menu bar.
Private and offline
Your data stays on your computer. After a one-time activation, Paani Peelo works without internet.
Mac and Windows
Lives quietly in your menu bar or taskbar. Never steals focus while you type; clicks pass through around them.
Snooze at your own risk.
Every “not now” makes them a little more insistent. Every “yes” brings the smile back.
“Beta, paani peene ka time ho gaya! Lo, ek glass pee lo.”
“Just one glass, dear… please? For me?”
“Third time I've come! Should I call your father now?”

Questions
Is this a subscription?
No. Try it free for 5 days, then pay $5.99₹99 once and Paani Peelo is yours for life, including every future update of the desktop app.
Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. The app from this site and from the Microsoft Store is free for 5 days of use, with everything unlocked: no email, no card. A day counts only once your reminder has visited, so days the computer stays off don’t use one up; use them within 10 days. When they’re up, your reminder asks whether to stay, and a key from here keeps everything you set up. The Mac App Store copy is paid up front, so it has no free trial.
Who can remind me?
Amma, Appa, your wife, your husband, your little boy, your little girl, Dadi or Gudiya — pick in Settings and switch any time. Every character is included in your one-time price, including the ones we add later.
Can I change how they look?
Yes. In Settings, open Customise under “Who reminds you” to change their skin tone, hair, clothes and colours, glasses and extras. Each character keeps their own look, and every option is included.
Can they stay away at lunch or during my standup?
Yes. In Settings → Quiet times, add lunch, a standup, a tea break, a prayer or your own: when it starts, how long, and which days. Nobody comes then, and a reminder that was due comes once it’s over. For lunch they can also come five minutes before, carrying a tiffin, to send you off to eat. For a meeting that isn’t on a schedule, pause from the menu bar.
How do I activate it?
After checkout you get a license key on screen and by email. In Paani Peelo, choose “Enter a key…” from its menu (the 💧 in your menu bar or tray) and paste the key once. Everything you set up during the free trial stays.
How many computers can I use?
Up to 3 — any mix of Mac and Windows. Moving to a new computer? Deactivate the old one in Paani Peelo’s settings to free its slot.
Is it on the Mac App Store too?
Yes, paid once through Apple. That copy needs no key: it works on the Macs signed in with your Apple Account, and with Family Sharing up to 6 family members can use it on their own Macs. Apple handles its updates and refunds, and it has no free trial. It’s a separate purchase from the key sold here — a key doesn’t unlock the App Store copy, and an App Store purchase doesn’t cover Windows. For Windows, or Mac and Windows together, get a key here: it works on up to 3 computers.
Does Paani Peelo collect my data?
No. Your settings and water log stay on your computer. The app contacts our server only to start its free trial, to activate and occasionally re-check your key, and once a day to see whether a newer version is out. None of these sends anything about you.
I lost my license key.
Your key is in your purchase email. You can also find it in the order portal linked from that email, or write to support@paanipeelo.com.
Can I get a refund?
If something isn’t right, write to support@paanipeelo.com and we’ll help. Refunds are handled case by case.
Is there a phone app?
It’s on the way for Android and iOS. Join the list below and we’ll tell you first.
