💧 For macOS 13 and later · Apple Silicon and Intel
The water reminder for Mac you can’t ignore.
Paani Peelo sits quietly in your menu bar. When it’s time to drink, Amma — or Appa, Dadi, your partner, your kids or baby Gudiya — walks onto your screen with a glass of water, right over whatever you’re working on. Say yes and they beam. Snooze them and they come back more insistent.
Free for 5 days, no email, no card. Then one payment, yours for life.
Made for your Mac
Lives in your menu bar
No Dock icon and no window to keep open. Log a glass, pause or change settings from the menu bar.
Walks over everything
Over your browser and your editor — even full-screen apps, on whichever desktop you’re using.
Never steals your focus
Keep typing while they’re there. They don’t take the keyboard, and clicks pass through around them.
Apple Silicon and Intel
A native build for each. The download button picks the one for your Mac.
Signed and notarized by Apple
Signed with our Apple Developer ID and checked by Apple, so it opens without an “unidentified developer” warning.
Starts with your Mac
Turn on starting at login once, and your reminders are there every morning — only during your active hours.
Private and offline
Your water log stays on your Mac. After a one-time activation, Paani Peelo works without internet.
Speaks your language
English, हिन्दी, తెలుగు and தமிழ் — in the script or in English letters.
How it works
- 1
Set your rhythm
Pick who reminds you — Amma, Appa, Dadi, your partner, your kids or baby Gudiya — then how often, your active hours and your daily goal.
- 2
They walk in
When it’s time, they come in from the edge of your screen with a glass of water and ask if you’ve had some.
- 3
Drink, and make their day
Say yes and they beam and head off. Say “not now” and they sulk — and come back, a little more insistent.

They’re separate purchases: a key from here doesn’t unlock the App Store copy, and an App Store purchase doesn’t cover Windows. Not sure yet? Try the copy from here free for 5 days.

Questions
Can I try it first?
Yes. Download it here and it’s free for 5 days of use, with everything unlocked: no email, no card. A key from this site keeps it, with everything you set up. The Mac App Store copy is paid up front and has no free trial.
Does Paani Peelo work on Apple Silicon Macs?
Yes. There is a native build for Apple Silicon (M1 and later) and another for Intel Macs, and the download button picks the right one. Not sure which you have? Apple menu → About This Mac: “Chip” means Apple Silicon, “Processor” means Intel.
Which version of macOS do I need?
macOS 13 Ventura or later.
Will macOS warn me when I open it?
Not about an unidentified developer: the app is signed with our Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple. The first time, macOS asks whether you want to open an app you downloaded from the internet — click Open.
Where is it after I install it?
Drag Paani Peelo into Applications and open it. It doesn’t appear in the Dock: look for its icon in the menu bar at the top of your screen.
Does it work over full-screen apps?
Yes. Your reminder walks in over full-screen apps too, on whichever desktop you’re using.
How do I uninstall it?
Quit Paani Peelo from its menu bar icon, then drag it from Applications to the Trash.
How much does it cost?
The copy from this site is free for 5 days, then $5.99₹99 once for a license. Or $5.99₹99 once on the Mac App Store, with no trial. No subscription either way. A license from here works on up to 3 computers, Mac or Windows.
Can I get it from the Mac App Store instead?
Yes, bought once through Apple. That copy needs no key: Apple installs it and keeps it up to date, and with Family Sharing up to 6 family members can use it on their own Macs. It has no free trial, so to try first, download the copy from here. It’s a separate purchase from the license sold here: a key doesn’t unlock the App Store copy, and an App Store purchase doesn’t cover Windows.
